Currumbin Waters is a family-oriented residential and canal suburb set back from the beach along Currumbin Creek, with residential development stepping up steadily from the 1970s. That history shows up in the switchboards: a striking number of homes along streets like Galleon Way, Bienvenue Drive and Ware Drive still run their original ceramic-fuse boards, built decades before safety switches were mandatory.
